What we do

The Abdelrahman Lab is dedicated to unraveling the neurobiological mechanisms that underlie Alzheimer’s disease. Specifically, our group investigates how the signaling of G-protein coupled receptors can regulate or contribute to Alzheimer’s pathophysiology.

At the Abdelrahman Lab, we explore promising new pathways and drug targets using a variety of in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo techniques. Our research aims to understand the pathology of Alzheimer’s disease and assess the efficacy of novel pharmacological interventions on disease progression. Our ultimate goal is to deepen our understanding and contribute to the development of more effective therapies for individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease
